Incident One: How Gabe Took a Person’s Home and Kept All the Money
You might wonder how someone could be convinced to put their home in another person’s name. I know of at least two individuals whom Gabe Montoya has persuaded to do just that. Gabe invests significant time grooming people, building trust through daily conversations, and frequent meet ups—breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner. He shares stories about his brother, who he claims is worth millions, developing commercial and residential properties nationwide. He presents himself as a wealthy investor eager to help others profit alongside him.
This incident involves a friend and distant relative of Gabe’s who inherited a home from his mother. Gabe convinced him to transfer the property into his name under the pretense that he would handle all aspects of the home’s renovation, listing, and sale, ensuring a higher return. He assured the owner that this arrangement would maximize the home’s value and promised significant financial gain.
A lawyer was supposed to draft a contract outlining their agreement. However, in typical Gabe fashion, he persuaded the owner to transfer the home before the contract was finalized. Excuses followed—delays in finalizing the contract, repeated reassurances, and shifting promises.
After making only minor modifications, Gabe sold the house. But the original owner never saw a dime. It’s been about 6 years and still Gabe continues making empty promises to pay, but nothing ever comes of it.
I am currently helping the rightful owner track down the lawyer who was supposed to handle the contract. Our plan is to subpoena the document—if it even exists. If not, we will subpoena the lawyer directly.
